As per current list of high priority projects, urban congestion projects are for all major Australian cities and if we look at the current and forecast of urban population growth, we need more projects. Secondly, we see there is a need to focus on other means of transport infrastructure development in rail, air, sea ports as logistics and supply chain will be key force in economic growth which will make Australia a key player in the region.
In order to maintain standards and compete, the metro city rail transport should be well integrating with other public transport of national connectivity. There is a need to increase government involvement for state and inner development of roads & rail network so that upcoming communities are fast-growing communities that have easy connectivity. Funding for local roads should have moved up in top priority list once identified as potential growth areas and then can share load with state and local bodies.
Infrastructure projects are vital for growth projects usually lined up based on needs of future and keeping in mind of long-term prospective of economic growth to Australia. But looking at current situation there is need to redefine process of priority in order to shape future states and nation.
United People's Party is committed for infrastructure reforms keeping eye with current and future challenges. We together need to confront the government for our current needs and push forward for future infrastructure demands to see growth. We request all Australians to support us in upcoming election so that the reforms are done.
